P.S Post about potty training

Quick post to ask for any good tips on potty training!! I would love to really start potty training Caitlin. I got her favorite candy's (peanut m&m's) as a reward and we will put her on the potty but I need help. I of course know the basics and what to do but anyone at all have good advice on what they did or are doing?? Would love some feedback!!!!!!

I would try potty training rewards. This worked great for our son. Not only does it have rewards, but the positive reinforcement really did the trick. He loved pushing the audio push button hearing he is a Big Boy and opening a door to find a chocolate surprise. He really became involved. He was peeing and pooping in his potty within a week. I know every child is different, but have a look and see if this would work for you. www.pottytrainingrewards.com

The best thing that I've found that worked with both of my daughters is stickers. We started with a sticker for sitting on the potty a few minutes...and another sticker if she peed, 2 more if she pooped. We had different stickers that she could pick from....and she had "special stickers" that came from different members of my family. I let her pick where she wanted to put the stickers..but most of them she put on the potty chair itself (it was quite pretty).
Also...with my oldest daughter, she got to call her great-grandma after she went potty sometimes...that was her favorite person in the world.
Another thing I did..we took her to the store and let her pick out a package of "big girl panties" that she liked, but it was with the understanding that she couldn't wear them unless she was going in the potty, cause we didn't want to get them dirty.
Sometimes it just takes some creativity.
I found your blog tonight while I was looking for information on preemies for a friend, your baby girl is truly a blessing from God. Amazing how those little babies can be such fighters.
